Linen tea towels would seem to be an unnecessary extravagance, but in the part of the world they are made, they can be found in every household. Why?
Stronger when wet - for extra scrubbing and rubbing down surfaces. AND it means it is better suited for the washing machine than other fabrics!
Antimicrobial - so gross bacteria are inhibited when they try to invade your tea towel.
Hypoallergenic - so people with sensitive skin have no excuse when asked to help with the dishes.
Fluff-free - so mirrors, windows, glasses (and even crystal), can be dried and shined up without lint being left everywhere.
Irish Linen Properties manufacture our very own Irish Linen Tea Towels. We are based in Northern Ireland weaving our own Irish Linen products using only the finest European Flax.
Our French Collection Tea Towels are made from 100% pure Irish linen, with influences we find in France, giving you beautiful subtle designs that will be sure to give you the complete French connection.
What Linen Tea Towels can do?
The easiest way to explain why these are a necessity in every kitchen is to explain some of the uses.
Drying (and washing) dishes
Wiping down surfaces
Cleaning kitchens and bathrooms (Yep, all the hardcore areas)
When baking - proving bread, for example (no fluff, and less likely to stick to the dough)
Pets. Just pets in general. All pet stuff.
To dry dishes on (the cloth won't smell bad when wet)
You could use it for all of those functions, wash it (you can even boil it if you want to sterilize it) and it'll keep going. They last and they are better than the cheap ones. Go on try one, you know you're curious now. These ones are French Linen, so they look extra nice, too!
And let us know what you use yours for!

These are superb quality and initially I had worried about spending so much for a lowly tea towel. But the value is there -- they get stronger and better with use, cope with everything thrown at them and down them, and dry dishes far better than anything ever used before. The value is there and always be prepared to pay for quality.
