How Linen Suntowels compare to cotton?
Linen and cotton are two of the most popular materials in the world and are known for their strength and durability, Linen can do everything that cotton can do, but Linen does it better. Linen is significantly stronger than cotton and most other fibers, giving it extra strength and durability allowing your towels to withstand decades of use while still looking as new as the day you purchased yours.
Linen is lightweight but incredibly strong
Our towels are very light and breathable and can be rolled into a size of a large napkin, making our towels very compact and is excellent when you are on the go, it’s as easy as pick up and pack away and you're ready to go.
Cotton towels can be quite heavy and hard to pack away, not to mention when it gets wet, it stays wet for hours, making it harder to dry and to carry around with you.
Another factor to consider is how breathable Linen towels are. When you dry yourself off after taking a dip, your Linen towel will take only a fraction of the time it takes to completely dry a cotton towel.
How is this? In most cases, Linen can be thicker or heavy compared to cotton, but Linen is more breathable than cotton and other fabrics because of the wider fibers which can hold in strength, while passing significantly more air, allowing your towels to dry in quick succession.
Linen Towels are Antibacterial
Another benefit to mention, is the fact that all linen's are antibacterial.
Why is this? Well, linen is produced naturally, without the help of pesticides. When seen through a microscopic lens, Linen has incredibly rough surfaces, which essentially kills any and all bacteria that it comes in contact with. So, rest assured that when you're soaking in the sun, you may not need to worry about unwanted bacteria.
Each Sunbed Towels are Naturally Hypoallergenic
What does Hypoallergenic mean? Since our sunbed Towels are produced from natural Linen fibers, meaning that there is no pesticides. Pesticides are often used for most materials to excel the growth, in an effort to produce larger amounts in shorter spaces of time, with Linen, it doesn’t use any pests to ‘speed up’ the growth process.
For most people, pests can irritate your skin and can cause rashes, which can cause allergic reactions and will keep you weary about what materials work with your skin and which don’t.
Linen Sunbed Towels are Naturally Wicking
Another fantastic feature that is very useful when you're in the sun, is that our linen towels are naturally wicking.
Let us explain: When you're in the sun, your body will start to perspire, Linen then takes your sweat and dries it through each linen fiber. With our sunbed towels, it will dry your sweat without any odour, keeping you fresher for longer. This is why Linen is essential for clothing in hotter countries. Because it keep you cool and fresh, our towels follow the exact same principle.
