Hygge (pronounced hue-guh) is a Danish word used to acknowledge a feeling of cozy contentment and well-being through enjoying the simple things in life. Simply put, hygge is comfort.
Inspired by the natural world and aligning with the Danish Hygge principle, our Hygge Bark Blankets are exceptionally soft and comforting. The natural elasticity in the weave means each blanket hugs tight to your body, letting you luxuriate in the relaxing comfort of Irish Linen.
We drew inspiration from the Silver Birch trees in Powerscourt, County Wicklow, for this design. The natural bark pattern is represented through the woolen side of the blanket, whilst the silvery inside draws directly on the peeled bark of the Silver Birch.
Perfect for keeping toasty year-round, the Irish Linen means each blanket regulates your temperature, meaning you are never too hot, and never too cold. Ideal for long evenings in front of the TV, curled up reading a novel, napping on a rainy afternoon, or anything in-between.
